Card Set!

June 30, 2011

Here are two cards I made just using scraps (for the most part), some ribbon, and some stamps!
I hope you enjoy, now let's get into the details!

Here is an upclose shot of the left one. It's an A2 sized card with a base of kraft cardstock. The next layer is cardstock by DCWV, I believe it's called sandstone, but I got it last year at Joann's. The next layer is some pinkish paper from who knows where. The branch, bird, and sentiment (You're a tweet heart) are from Basic Grey's Tweet stamp set. The frame is also Basic Grey from the Aura stamp set. The frame and branch are stamped in Dark Brown ink by Colorbox and the bird is stamped in Chestnut Roan also by Colorbox. The sentiment is stamped in Azure Seas ink from a Whispers ink set.

The card on the right (as seen below) is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". The base of the card is patterened paper by DCWV in the Uptyown Loft Stack. The scalloped border was punched with a Fiskars border punch called Treading Water. The paper at the bottom and the stamped part are the same as the paper on the previous card. For this card I used Chestnut Roan for the branch and sentiment. The bird is stamped with an ink from a Whispers ink set. To finish it off some brown satin ribbon to cover the seam of the papers.
