Challenge Entry! Halloween Layout

July 06, 2011

Here is a layout I am entering in the challenge over at Crop Suey. Here is the link to the challenge for this month:
The challenge this month is to GET MESSY!

I had fun making this layout, at first I didn't know I was going to enter, but once I broke into my messy side, it was perfect!

The background of this layout is some patterned paper from DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack (I know, Spring Stack? but this is a Halloween layout!! So weird right? But it totally worked!) The Orange cardstock (the treatment it recieved is below) is 10x10.

It's a little hard to tell, but you can see the different shades of orange in the back, that would be my glimmer mist! I mostly used Peach Delight (not sure if that color is still around, or even came in a full sized bottle) but I also used a little bit of Mustard Seed. I would like to thank Roxy (roxyfur on youtube) for the Glimmer Mist she sent me in a RAK! She's so sweet! I glimmered the orange paper mostly, but also some of the outskirts of the back patterned paper.

This picture is a close up on the title which I stamped using Colobox Black ink with a K & Company stamp set called Sketchy Alphabet. The small "or" in the middle is hand written using a Gelly Roll Pen. I also used the black and a white Gelly Roll Pen to make some lines around the outside of the patterned page and on the orange cardstock (the camera didn't pick them up to well). Some other details the camera didnt pick up (or I didn't get a picture of hehe) are the pieces of black and white patterned paper that border the photos, I got the paper in a swap and it's by the Paper Studios. I also used some Magic Mesh on this layout.

This picture is a detail shot of the bottom right hand corner. This is a journaling spot (still to be filled) that someone sent to me. I used my Diamond Glimmer Mist on that. It is held there by the ribbon I bought from WalMart during Halloween. I pleated it myself and added the cute mini saftey pin that I painted orange. I also tied some twine around it. The stickers in the bottom of this photo (can also be seen in first photo) are the number 31 for Halloween.

That's it guys, hope you all liked my layout, I had fun, using my glimmer mist, because I don't that often. Thanks for popping by!
