Easy gifts: Collage

August 23, 2013

Instead of giving a card full of money or some gift card, I usually make my friends handmade collages or something altered of the sorts!

This was made from several things clearly but it was so inexpensive! I bought a $5 12x16 inch frame from Walmart. Then I got crafty!

Here's some close up pictures:

All of the die cuts are by K&Company. It's really important to watch for dimension (especially when limited by a frame). If you're considering adding mementos likes sea shells or dimension of any sort I would recommend doing a shadow box collage instead.

By purposing leaving some white space this enables the person receiving to add pictures to their frame as well!

The fairy in the above picture is from Graphic 45.
Then, all the other supplies used I have no idea where they came from or their brands!

Anyway, my friend loved her present and it matches her room colors to a T!
For such an inexpensive gift I probably "splurged" a total of 8 dollars on her present total! After all it isn't the cost of the gift that counts, it is the thought put into it.

Thanks for stopping by! Please leave comments and your thoughts below. Do you like making collages?
