How to Stay Motivated & Finish Out the Semester!

10:43:00 AM

I have been counting down the days until Thanksgiving break and finals in the back of my head as these last weeks start rushing by. As the weeks pass by the nerves are just piling and piling up as finals approach rapidly.

Here's a few tips to keep your cool as finals are on their way!

Tip #1. Start studying early

These finals have been planned probably since last year, so it's about time you get looking back on what you learned in September! If it's not a cumulative final then start where you need to, but start right and start early. Depending on the amount of material and subject I recommend starting probably two weeks ahead of time.

Tip #2. Stay organized

If you have papers and textbooks and important emails all over the place, you'll be stressed to the max! Create a folder or filing system that works for you. As for your email, I recommend using tags or folders to keep important emails organized!

Tip #3. Learn when to give yourself a break

Don't let your brain get fried over all these exams! Studies show that studying up to two hours is your brain's maximum for retaining and storing information properly. Make priorities, as in giving yourself ample time to eat and sleep. Some nice breaks for you brain include painting your nails, watching some Netflix, or making a healthy snack!

I hope you guys enjoyed these tips! Let me know in the comments below what some of your number one finals prep tips are!
