Weekend Recap // Gone Girl Movie Review8:00:00 AM
Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all enjoy your last day of the weekend and look forward to a hopefully lovely week!
Here's a little recap of my Saturday!
We ventured on the free shuttle provided by the college to a shopping plaza (which we visit almost every weekend). I mean honestly, what is better than spending an hour in Joann's with your boyfriend shopping for Christmas DIYs?! Next we took another shuttle to the local mall and we spent a bit of time there running around to a few stores and picking up a few gifts.
Then the highlight of the Saturday was attending a movie, Gone Girl, if you haven't already guessed.
To start off, this may have a few spoilers, so beware!
This movie is so insane. I honestly was on my edge of the seat and gripping my boyfriend's hand rather tightly throughout the whole dang movie! I had not read the book before, so I cannot actually give my opinion on how well it adhered to the books story, but here's what I thought of the movie in general.
I am so glad we went to go see this movie. I didn't really read up on the movie, so I had no idea what it was really about. I now understand the hype about the book! This was a very complex movie and I must admit I didn't see half of the plot twists coming. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who likes mysteries, thrillers, or complex movies.
One thing I didn't like about this movie is that there were several times where there would be dramatic music getting louder and louder and then suddenly silence, but the music didn't really match the scene. Another thing was the ending, what the heck, cliffhanger much?! I couldn't stand it! Other than that I loved this movie. I feel like it's one movie you could watch over and over again (even though you know the ending), but find different little hints of foreshadowing the plot (that's one of my favorite things). I would give this movie 5/5 stars!
The rest of the night consisted of being at the library doing homework...very boring.
Sunday we plan on going to a RIT musical called Urinetown. I'm not exactly sure what it's about, but I've heard it's good!
Well that pretty much sums up my weekend! I hope yours went just as well if not better and I also wish you a happy work week up ahead!
