New Year's Resolutions // 2015

January 03, 2015

Happy New Year! It's 2015 and what better way to start off the new year by sharing some of my New Year's resolutions with you!

Since resolutions are supposed to be small, achievable goals I decided to share a few specific ones and then some broader ones.

Love more.

It sounds simple, but really this is a very important promise to keep. Not only must one love oneself greatly in order to obtain pure happiness, but love others as well. It's important to me to grow daily in several aspects of my life, love being one of the most important. I want to be able to radiate kindness and love to everyone I meet and I strive to be a better person every day. Specifically I hope to show more words of affirmation, gifts of thankfulness and gratitude, and create an atmosphere that people are drawn to.

Be healthier.

This goal also contains several smaller portions to it. I plan on becoming a regular gym attendee, starting with minimum of three days a week. I also want to be able to expand my horizons in terms of foods I like. Not only do I want to maintain a physically healthy body, but a body with great mental health too. I plan on practicing through brain games and hopefully reading more books.

Experience more.

Another broad goal, but I want to try new things (don't worry I have a list). It's important in life to expand and reflect upon new experiences and what you have learned or gained in knowledge. Trying new things can sometimes lead to new opportunities and exciting things overall that are out there waiting. I want to go see museums, movies, read books, go to shows, visit new places, and do so many things. There is no reason you should be bored with your life, go out there and find something to do (PS. it's all waiting for you).

Blog more.

Yes, you read that right! Several changes are finally coming to the blog, including a new URL if you hadn't noticed yet. Formerly now (yes I am very excited to own a URL) My page views have been skyrocketing and I figured readers wanted an easier way to get bits and pieces of me in their everyday lives so follow me on my Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus page, tumblr, like my Facebook page, it'll all be chuck full of links and projects soon! (You can find them all @grayflorals). I also wanted to thank all of my lovely loyal followers and readers for sticking with me and reading and enjoying in 2014! 2015 will hold many great things for us! Thank you, thank you, thank you for getting me to where I am today.

Resolutions aren't something I normal do. I'm not one to exactly set specific goals, but I have done it this year, although I'm not sharing them all publicly, you guys have at least a little something to uphold me to! Let me know in the comments what you guys set for your New Year's resolutions!
