Thanks Card // Embossing11:00:00 AM
Hello everyone! Thank you for stopping by my blog. I hope you enjoy your stay. Be sure to check out all of my categories above (they all have a lot to offer)! Today, I wanted to share with a card that focuses on embossing.
To start off this card, I used some light gray cardstock to create my base. It is an A2 sized card which is 8 1/2'" x 5 1/2" which will be 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" once folded. Then, I took a piece of white cardstock that is 4" x 5 1/4" and ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Victoria embossing folder.
Next, I used a scrap of orange cardstock and used my Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels One to cut out the shape. I then pulled out my Cuttlebug again to use the Swiss Dot embossing folder on the die cut. Going back to the Nestabilities, I also cut out a white piece of cardstock using the smallest of the Labels One die.
The sentiment from Inkadinkado is stamped in black Colorbox pigment ink. I then attached the white label with foam adhesive to the orange label adjusting it towards the top. I also wrapped ribbon around the orange die cut and tied a bow. After adhering the main layers to the card I added a few finishing touches. The first touch was some patterned paper. I felt like this card was lacking in the color department so I added a thin strip (3/4" x 4") of KI Memories Peace & Butterflies to give it some pizzazz. Then, for the final finishing touch I added three black square rhinestones.
I hope you enjoyed this card! Do you often use more than one embossing folder on your projects? Let me know in the comments below!
