As soon as I saw the previews for the movie, The Age of Adaline, I knew I would love the movie. The concept itself was quite interesting, a woman who doesn't age. Although I thought this movie might be a tear-jerker, you don't have to worry ladies you can leave your box of tissues at home (well bring one or two, just in case).
One of my favorite parts of the movie was the way they did the narration, one part in particular really caught my attention. When they are talking about how Adaline became the way that she is, they say that the reason behind this won't be discovered and understood until 2035. The reason I find this important in a way is because it made the viewers feel as though that they too would one day see this occur (even though the movie is set originally in the 20's/30's and spans until present day).
One would think that a movie with such an expansive timeline, might cause some confusion with the plot, however I found that to be the opposite. Due to the fact that this movie had such a rich and long timeline, the story was very interesting and they really portrayed it in such a great way. I also believe they did a great job picking the actress to play Adaline. The actress would obviously have to have beauty, grace, and kindness (qualities similar to a princess of sorts), but she also had to be intelligent and witty, she would truly have to be Adaline and that is ageless.
Overall, I found this movie to be of a good pace (not too fast or slow), consisting of a nice plot, it had some creative twists, and a great story. I found very few parts of the movie that may be consider awkward or not enjoyable. I would rate this movie 9/10 and would gladly watch it all over again!
