Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children // Book Review

February 02, 2016

I've never really written a book review before, but I really wanted to about this book in particular. I loved this book. It has been the first book that I've read in a while. It still remains the latest book I've read (almost a year later). Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs first got my attention when I saw the cover. I've heard about this book before and I didn't really know what it was about. However, shortly after looking up a description of the book I felt intrigued. The idea of something so peculiar really captured my imagination.

So, I went to Barnes and Noble and purchased this book. At the time, I didn't know that a second book by Ransom Riggs would be coming out soon (but I think I'll read that one eventually too). I dove right into the book and my imagination wasn't let down. I loved the backstory and how they included the photos in the novel. It really made the story more genuine.

Now, for those who may not know me, I love things that involve the paranormal of sorts. I think that's what initially drew me to this book. Then the elements of time travel and mystical creatures made me want to keep reading. This is one of those books that people can envision in their minds a million different ways. I really hope they make this into a movie (just kidding they are making a movie to debut later in 2016). I think that although this book might not be for everyone, most would enjoy it (especially those of a younger audience and those who like reading about weird things). I would rate this book a 9.5/10 stars! I hope you enjoyed my review (from a year after reading it haha). Thanks for stopping by!
