Autumnal Wishes // Card Creations

October 12, 2017

Hello friends! Welcome back to the blog! While the weather here hasn't cooled down too much, it is still technically autumn! I'm celebrating this great season with a cute thankful card. I'm featuring a stamp set by W Plus 9 and it is the perfect little stamp set! Let's dive right in.

This is a traditional sized card being 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" when folded. I used 110 lb white cardstock in order to create a sturdy base. The next layer is 65 lb Kraft cardstock cut to 4" x 5 1/4". I used an Echo Park embossing folder to add more dimension and texture. Next, I layered a 4" white doily from Wilton. I didn't want the card to look very flat, so I went all out with the different textures. I pulled out this light mustard yellow embroidery floss and bunched up in the center of the doily. Then, I used a piece of patterned paper from Craft Smith punched using a 2" circle punch.

To complete the main cluster, I used the main stamp from the W Plus 9 stamp set. This little checkered pumpkin is so festive! I popped it up on top of foam squares for more dimension. If you plan on mailing cards, I would not recommend dimensional adhesive. Lastly, to decorate the card front, I used some Fancy Pants puffy dots in a coordinating color.

This sentiment is so, so amazing. This is from the same W Plus 9 stamp set and I used Memento black ink for a dark impression. This card is perfect for this time of year when we want to express our thankfulness to those in our lives. I hope you enjoyed this card! Thanks for stopping by!
