Pocket Page Share // Feeding Time

11:00:00 AM

Happy November! Hello friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a single pocket page from my Pittsburgh Travel Album. This is another simple layout in my album. I've realized that less is more when working on a smaller canvas like this 6x8 pocket page. If you treat each 3x4 pocket as it's own canvas with its own components it is less daunting to put a whole page together.

This four section 6x8 pocket page is from Simple Stories. Like I have mentioned before, these pockets are slightly bigger than the size they are supposed to be. The bottom left is the only filler card on this page. The green striped card is from Project Life's Man World Mini Collection. This filler card is also my title card.

I used October Afternoon block alphas to make my title "Feeding Time". I decorated it with a gold foiled chipboard heart from American Crafts. Beneath the title, I paired a Doodlebug doily with a chipboard bird piece from American Crafts. This simple title card helps pull the page together.

I tried to keep the colors neutral so that the photos pop. These photos are from the National Aviary in Pittsburgh where my boyfriend got to feed some of the birds. The photo to the right of the filler card got a little bit of decoration. I have had some of these overlap pieces from Project Life for so long and I'm glad I finally used one. This one is from the Heidi Swapp designed Project Life kit and features a gold foiled camera.

This simple layout is a go to for my pocket page layouts. I really enjoy the four 3x4 pocket page styles. I hope you enjoyed this pocket page design. If you have any questions please let me know, I would be happy to answer them! Thanks for stopping by!
