12x12 Layout Process Video | These Tears Bloom | Summer Season Scrapping 2023 w Sara Scraps

Hi friends! I am back for the second episode of Summer Season Scrapping 2023 with Sara Scraps! Be sure to play along with our scrapbook inspiration all summer long. Today's layout is inspired by our prompt 'front porch'. I thought the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Unforgettable collection perfectly matched my book in this photo!

Scrapbook layout featuring a photo of a book and bright colors of pink, teal, and peach.

I typically don't work with just one collection. So it comes as no surprise that I included some additional embellishments to help the theme of this layout. Get all of the crafty process details of this scrapbook layout in the process video below!

While this layout is bright and cheerful, it has a lot of layers of meaning. I have been reading this book for well over a year now. It is a memoir from a mother-daughter duo about a terminal diagnosis and those last months. It hits close to home.

I adored the butterflies in this collection. I thought since there is a grapefruit on the cover of my book's photo, butterflies were a perfect addition. By bending the wings up, it adds a lot of dimension to this scrapbook page.

Title reads 'These Tears Bloom' on scrapbook layout featuring bright colors.

The Unforgettable collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio is absolutely beautiful. I might have to add it to more of my layouts this summer to use it up! I incorporated a few pieces from Social Paper Plan as featured in the above photo. These were part of a grief ephemera set they had a while back. It is always hard to scrapbook the difficult stuff, but well worth it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and I will see you with the next project! Keep playing along with our prompt list all summer long!
